John Day-based outdoor clothing company impresses influential podcaster Joe Rogan

In science fiction and fantasy stories like “Lord of the Rings” and “Star Trek,” the characters make themselves invisible to give them an advantage in a way that goes beyond regular camouflage.

A local John Day clothing company for hunters and wildlife enthusiasts promises something similar using the scientific principle of the Faraday Cage – to make one’s electromagnetic field less detectable to animals.

The name of the company is HECS (Human Energy Concealment Systems) and it’s located at the John Day industrial park near the Grant County Regional Airport. The company started about 10 years ago.
